Surgical Access to The Ramus and Condyle of The Mandible – The Efficacy of Transmasseteric Anteroparotid Approach

Surgical access to the condyle for purposes of fracture treatment has always been exercised with caution and restrain. Numerous approaches have been in practice over the years, but they all have certain limitations – the most overbearing are limited surgical access and risk of injury to the facial nerve.

The purpose of this article is to report on the efficacy of Transmasseteric Anteroparotid (TMAP) approach for the surgical management of condylar fractures.
